YM Status: Woohoo! Malapit na naman ang araw ang ka-baduyan at ka-kornihan!

Alam nyo naman siguro kung ano yung araw na yun

May tama ka! Balentayms (Valentine's) Day! I know it's still too early to talk about this, but what the heck! Hints of EVERYTHING that is related to this, oh so, sweet day (and terrible day for singles), are all over the place! Dinner concerts, flowers, chocolate, stuffed toys, love songs oh and that kissing event, Lovapalooza (nice commercial, by the way). I have nothing against these but I abhor ka-baduyan at ka-kornihan. Yes, they say (and even me) that if you're in love, they tend to be cheesy. I'm only cheesy when I'm alone with Mike. Publicly, HELL NO!
It just makes me (<--that's exaggerating but you get the idea) If we have the cheesy couples, of course we'll also have the depressed singles. Hey, don't take it the wrong way. It's just that everytime this day comes, it's like they're oblige to find a date. I don't mean all, but in general. I know being in "love" is a nice feeling, that kilig factor and all but don't you find it enjoyable being single? It's ironic that this is coming from someone who's in a relationship but it's fun being a single too. You can do whatever you want and at the same time you don't have to worry about anything!


I remember reading an article in Cosmopolitan about this guy who wrote his view about "this sappy, flower-scented and candy-coated occassion." He said:

"...Some people can't wait for it to come, other's are plagued by the doom of its very arrival. It's like a championship ballgame - regardless of which is side you play for (Singles Squad or the Coupledom team), you're under enormous pressure"

I just find it funny sometimes that some people have to go through an arduous amount of effort to make their special someone (or themselves) happy for this occassion. Then again, kung saan ka masaya suportahan taka.

Me? If I'll have it my way, I just want to stay home. Ayaw ko makipagsiksikan sa labas. Pero kung may inuman, sasama ako dyan
