Breach of (COMELEC) stupidity

Gelo dropped me a link to his latest entry . I want to spread the word since it concerns us all especially the registered voters.

First off, this is the COMELEC-NCR site...

... and it sucks. Big time.

The rest I'll quote from Gelo.

• Posting a list of names of registered voters is good, but to include the full voter registration details? Addresses, precinct numbers, voter registration numbers, et al. Heck! That’s an invitation for several crimes right there! Crimes which include, but are not restricted to:

* Identity theft
* Kidnapping
* Pressuring voters
* Stalking

• The website itself does not look like a professional job. If the said site really is affiliated with SMC then I would think that they would have done a better job than something that seemed to have been cobbled together by GeoCities newbies.

• The contact email for the director is a Yahoo! email, , which rings alarm bells in my head. Why is it that the director is using a Yahoo! email instead of an organizational email?

I'm not a registered voter but this is a really stupid move.

I am really shocked and infuriated. My name is listed there and the people who I know is also listed. I'm really paranoid on regards about my personal information.

What if may galit sayo? what if someone got a hold of your credit card? Pa'no yung may delicate online accounts? Also just imagine how much kidnappings will rise. Flying voters and all that.

Di ko alam kung magagalit ako o maiiyak. I need help... how can we make them take down the lists?

Please help me tell them to take the list out from public viewing, for the sake of other people's privacy as well.
